Pro Bono (Free) Legal Support
If you are struggling financially and cannot afford a lawyer, you can apply for a 20-minute free advice session with a lawyer through Law On Earth. To help determine your eligibility we will need to submit a request form which can help us determine what type of lawyer will be able to provide the best support for your situation.
What is Pro Bono?
Pro Bono means “for the public good”. In legal services, pro bono generally means providing legal support for free or for a significantly reduced fee. For lawyers, this means that there is no expectation of receiving a commercial return.
Can Anybody Access Pro Bono?
Many legal support offices require you to so financial records to outline why you cannot pay for a lawyer. While you will need to mention why you are seeking pro bono support instead of seeking paid legal services, the Advisors on Law On Earth will assess your case based on your financial justification and the merits of your case. No finance documents needed.
Do I Need to Pay For a Membership?
No, if your request for pro bono services is approved you will not need to provide any credit card details or pay any fees to access your one 20-minute video session. If you want to extend your video session or want to book more time with a lawyer, you will need to transfer over to our paid system.
How Do I Access Pro Bono Support?
Step 1
Sign Up: You will need to create a profile on Law On Earth first. Having an account is free & is where your recorded video advice is stored.
Step 2
Complete Your VOI: A Verification Of Identity (VOI) is necessary so we can confirm your identity; this is common within the legal sector. You’ll need to provide us with 100 points of ID.
Step 3
You will then complete a pro bono request form. When filling out the form you will need to provide some details about the matter & relevant documents (like your lease).
Step 4
Receive Support: If your request for pro bono support is approved, you will be able to book a 20-minute video call with an advisor. You will be able to leave the call feeling back in control of your situation.

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that you will qualify for legal support. This is because all our advisers work or run their own legal or advice practices and therefore have their own client loads that they need to juggle.
If you need urgent assistance we strongly encourage you to consider booking a paid session ($147 for 20 minutes) if you can afford it.

This is vary depending on the problem you are being faced with. For example, if you are having a disagreement with your landlord we ask that you upload a copy of your lease (your entire lease, not just the pages you believe are important). If the landlord has provided you with any notices of forms, you will also need to upload these.
If there are any documents such as emails or texts that may help the advisor understand your situation please upload these with your request.
If you fail to upload the right documents, you will impact the chances of your request being approved and delay your ability to book a video advisor session.
